Healthy Chocolate Cake Recipe

Is this the first recipe you turned to? It should be, it’s freakin’ delicious!

That cake right there looks like one you get from a coffee shop, complete with the last week’s gossip and a large cappuccino, right?

Well, save yourself the gossip and the muffin top, cause you can now have your cake and eat it too!

Ingredients:

Cake:

  • 1/4 cup cacao powder
  • 1/4 cup banana flour
  • 1/4 cup coconut flour
  • 1/2 an avocado
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • Pinch of Himalayan sea salt
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/2 cup coconut nectar
  • 1/4 cup melted coconut oil
  • 1/2 cup water

Icing:

  • 3 tbsp coconut nectar
  • 2 tbsp raw cacao powder
  • 1 tbsp coconut oil
How to make the cake:

    Preheat oven to 180°C.

    Mix all ingredients together in a large bowl (blender is best).

    Spoon the mixture into a cake tin, greased with coconut oil.

    Bake for about 30 - 45 minutes.

    Remove from the oven and allow to cool
How to make the icing:

    Stir all ingredients together.

    Spread on your cake
